A new Westminster business will not only bring health and wellness to the community but also cater to cancer patients.
Julie Bulatovic, owner of Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, is hosting a grand opening 4-6
p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at her second Hand & Stone location, 5140 W. 120th Ave., No 100, in Westminster.
Bulatovic's first location is in Cherry Creek, the place where she started her oncology program, Embrace the Touch. Every month the program gives two cancer patients, along with their caregivers, a free massage. After the first massage, the cancer patients can choose to participate in the membership program, which offers discounted prices on services, without having to pay the membership fee for the next six months.
Now she will be offering the same program to people in the north metro area.
“Through the Embrace the Tough program, patients are able to feel safe and comfortable and learn the benefits of massage, without having to worry about money,” Bulatovic said. “And I love to take care of the caregivers. It's a place of respite for them and place to let go of emotions.”
Bulatovic's own stepmother was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a part in inspiring the idea of the Embrace the Touch program. Bulatovic said before she owned Hand & Stone, she always knew she wanted to be part of the community and use her business to help others. She said through her business she's able to connect with people on health and wellness and truly make a difference in their lives.
“We really want to provide affordable massages and services to everyone,” she said. “And we're so excited to be a part of the Westminster and Broomfield area. We love it up there.”
Not only is affordability a priority, but also convenience. Todd Leff, CEO of Hand & Stone, said extended hours are offered at Hand & Stone, allowing people more opportunities to enjoy the health and wellness benefits from massages and other spa services. And just because the prices are low and the hours and long, doesn't meant the experience is affected.
“Our goal is to bring high quality spa services, massage and skin care, to the middle market to meet the demand in a much more affordable and convenient way,” Leff said. “We do this by retaining the experience at a high level spa. Once people get in there, they will never expect to walk into a beautiful day spa.”
